World Democracy Day symposium

On World Democracy Day, September 15, 2024, the High Youth Council (Young Ambassadors Program), under the auspices of Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani and in collaboration with Qaiwan International University, organized a symposium to commemorate the occasion.

This year’s observance of World Democracy Day focused on the pivotal role of youth and women in bolstering democratic systems. The symposium featured two panel discussions: "Youth and Democracy: Building the Future through Youth Participation and Leadership" and "Promoting Women's Capabilities as a Foundation for Strengthening Democracy.”
