GUIDELINES FOR AWARD OF A DEGREE

1.0   students in the final semester who are completing their studies are required to apply for graduation. Students who have previously applied but did not complete their study are required to re-apply. Application submitted in the previous semester is void.

2.0   Students who are not eligible to apply (other than those listed in 1.0) will be fined RM50.00 if they submit their application.

3.0   students with the status of KB (PSC) need to fulfill the graduate requirements within FIVE (5) years upon which the status was given before they can apply for an award of a degree.

4.0   Application must be made using the Award of a Degree Application Form in THREE (3) copies within the time as stipulated by the University.

5.0   The closing date for the application is THIRTY (30) days before the semester’s final examination begins. Applications received within TWO (2) weeks after the closing date will be charged subjected to a fine of RM 50.00.

6.0   Students who do not submit the application form to the Faculty Office after the stipulated date or time as stated above, will not be awarded with Good Status (Completed study) (KBTK).

7.0   students with KBTK status can apply for award of degree within a specified period in the following semester but not later than TWO (2) years after completion of study. Applications submitted to the Faculty or IRK after the SECOND (2) until the FIFTH (5) year will be fined USD 200.00 for each year delayed. Application submitted to the faculty or IRK after the period stated above will not be entertained.

8.0   Students who do not apply for graduation will not be considered for enrollment in a postgraduate programme at the university
