Qaiwan International University (QIU) was established in 2018 in Sulaimanyah, Kurdistan
Region of Iraq. It was initially established as a franchise of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia
(UTM), aiming to provide local students with access to international education without the
need to study abroad, thereby reducing the financial burden on students and their families.
Later in 2022, QIU expanded its offerings by introducing additional programs franchised by
Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), further diversifying its educational portfolio.
Students are given the chance to improve their grades with the approval from the Faculty during their study according to the following conditions:
Obtain approval from the faculty;
Improve the grade of the course which is B- or below;
Improve the grade of any of the courses only once;
Improve Grades at a maximum of FIFTEEN (15) credits throughout the study;
Apply the better grade between the original and the latest grade in the calculation of CGPA while the current grade is applied in the calculation of GPA; and
Request for improving grade will have to be accompanied with payment for grade improvement registration as determined by the senate
Students who have completed their studies with KB(PSC) status are not allowed to improve their course grade.
