Qaiwan International University (QIU) was established in 2018 in Sulaimanyah, Kurdistan
Region of Iraq. It was initially established as a franchise of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia
(UTM), aiming to provide local students with access to international education without the
need to study abroad, thereby reducing the financial burden on students and their families.
Later in 2022, QIU expanded its offerings by introducing additional programs franchised by
Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), further diversifying its educational portfolio.
All registered and active students must sit for all the course final examinations determined by the Faculty provided that they have registered for the courses, subject to Part VII Item 1.0.
Deferment of Examination with Medical Reasons.

The student must obtain a medical certificate (validated by a medical officer) before the examination begins and present it to the Faculty and/or IRK no later than TWENTY-FOUR (24) hours after the examination has started. Late submissions with valid reasons may be accepted subject to university approval.
Students who become ill during the examination should be reported to the chief invigilator or any Invigilator for immediate medical screening by a medical officer. The report by the medical officer must be submitted to the Faculty not later than SEVEN (7) days from the date of inspection by the medical officer.
Students who obtain a medical leave certificate are not allowed to sit for the final examination except with the permission of the medical officer.
Deferment of Final Examination due to calamity.
Students who suffer from calamities (such as accidents, natural disasters or death of parents and immediate family members and other matters approved by the University) may apply for deferment of examination by submitting a written request together with relevant documents to the University through IRK for cases to be considered.
Deferment of Final Examination due to National Interest.
Students who are required to be involved in activities at the national level may apply for a deferment of examination by submitting a written request together with relevant documents to the university through IRK for their case to be considered.
The deferred examinations will only be conducted during the special examination period determined by the university.
