Qaiwan International University (QIU)

Qaiwan International University (QIU) was founded in Sulaymaniyah, Kurdistan, Iraq, in 2018. It began as a franchise of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) to provide local students with access to international education without the need to study abroad, thereby reducing the financial burden on students and their families. In 2022, QIU added new programmes franchised by Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), further diversifying its educational portfolio.

The university provides a wide range of scientific programmes, including those affiliated with UTM and UiTM, across several departments. These programmes are intended to provide students with a variety of educational options based on their interests and career objectives.

QIU is proud of its state-of-the-art facilities, including laboratories and classrooms, that are essential for providing a quality education. The presence of both local and international lecturers enriches the academic experience and contributes to the classroom with diverse perspectives. In addition, the university is committed to providing a comprehensive educational experience, including services such as student admissions, library access, cafeteria facilities, scientific excursions, and an environment that fosters innovation and competition.
