Senate

The Senate is the University Senate founded under Section 16A Act 173 to advise the University Board of Directors regarding all the University’s academic matters.

          Members of the Senate include:

• Vice-Chancellor                                                          - Chairperson
• Deputy Vice-Chancellor                                             Sub-Chairperson
• All Deputy Vice-Chancellors                                       - Member
• All Assistant Vice-Chancellors for College of Studies   - Member
• /Dean/Head of Academic Centre 
• Three (3) representatives from the Rector                   - Member
• Appointed by the Vice-Chancellor                    
• Three (3) senior university academic staff                   - Member
• members appointed by the University Board of Directors for a duration of two (2) years          according to Section 16A(2)(e)   
• Registrar                                                                   - Secretary
• Academic Affairs Department                                     - Secretariat
