Pre-Academic Program (PAP)

Pre-Academic Program (PAP)

In the dynamic landscape of higher education, universities worldwide are witnessing applications by a diversity of students, each with unique academic backgrounds and linguistic competencies. Recognizing the pivotal role of English proficiency and foundational knowledge in academic success, many institutions have pioneered pre-academic programs. These programs serve as essential bridges, equipping students with the necessary language skills and foundational knowledge to excel in their fields of study. The QIU Pre-academic Program in particular offers both English and QIU Courses to ensure the students are well-prepared at the beginning of their academic journey.

ENGLISH COURSES

Upon admission, the students take the QIU English placement test including paper-based and speaking test. As a result, the students who do not achieve the required level of proficiency, Intermediate level, are required to take courses according to their levels.

The English courses represent more than mere language instruction; they embody a commitment to enabling students with the linguistic competence they need, both general and academic, to succeed in their studies. The students not only acquire proficiency in English but also develop invaluable communication skills, cultural competence, and intercultural awareness through various projects and activities in classes. As students graduate from preparatory English courses, they emerge as confident and articulate communicators.
