Academic Curriculum

The UiTM Academic Curriculum (Table 1- Table 3) consists of these components:

University Course

University Courses are courses that are set by the University as conditions to fulfil the requirements of being a awarded a Diploma/ Bachelor.

General University Courses

General University Courses are General Studies Subject courses (MPU) as outlined by the Ministry of Higher Learning.

Compulsory University Courses

Compulsory University Courses are compulsory courses set by the University.

Faculty Courses/Programmes

Faculty Courses

Faculty Courses are foundational courses set by the faculty as a condition to fulfil the requirement of being awarded a Diploma/Bachelor’s degree.

Programme Courses

Programme Courses are the main courses set by the faculty as a condition to fulfil the requirement of being awarded a Diploma/Bachelor’s degree.

Minor/Elective     

Minor

The minor package is a set of courses that is stipulated by the faculty as a condition to fulfilling the requirements of receiving the minor status in a Bachelor’s degree programme. This package can be taken from any Bachelor’s degree programme in the University.

Elective

An elective course is an optional course in an academic programme. This course can be taken from any academic programme.
