FINAL EXAMINATION AND ASSESSMENTS RESULTS STATUS
Based on the achieved CGPA, students will be given the status of final examination results and assessments as below:
- ANC - Complete and Accorded with Vice-Chancellor’s Award
- TS - Complete and Accorded with Dean’s Award
- TM - Complete
- LNT - Upgraded Pass
- AD - Dean’s Award
- LU - Pass
- P - Attention (Unsatisfactory)
- D - Fail and Dismissed
- The Complete status of ANC, TS and AD are awarded to high-achieving students.
- The LU and TM status are awarded to students with satisfactory achievements.
The P status is being given to students who obtain unsatisfactory results and is being divided into:
- P1: First Attention for students with a CGPA between 1.80 to 1.99 in a semester.
- P2: Second Attention for students with a CGPA of less than 2.00 after getting P1 in the previous semester.
The D status is given to students with very unsatisfactory results and is divided into:
- D1 - CGPA of less than 1.80.
- D2 - CGPA of less than 1.80 after getting the P1 status.
- D3 - CGPA of less than 2.00 after getting the P2 status.
- D4 - Failed a course for the third time.
- D5 - CGPA of less than 2.00 at the end of a study term with courses still not completed.
- D6 - Passed all the requisite courses and met all requirements of a programme but obtained a CGPA of less than 2.00.
- D7 - Did not sit for examinations for all registered courses of the semester without the approval of the University.
The SML status is given to full-time students who obtain unsatisfactory results when they have exceeded the study term that has been set in the Study Plan.
