INTERSESSION

2.27.1 Intersessions are offered to students to enable them to complete their studies within the stipulated period of the Study Plan, subject to the following terms:

  1. Students undertake the full-time mode of study only.
  2. Students undertake a maximum of two (2) courses only.
  3. The said course is offered by the College of Studies/ Faculty/ Academic Centre / UiTM Branches for certain sessions.
  4. The course does not have prerequisites and/or corequisites.
  5. The number of applications for a course is no fewer than 15 students.
  • The Intersession Examination can only be sat by students who have registered and paid the fees.
  • The Intersession fee is RM200.00 for each course.
  • The YY status will be given to registered students who have paid the fees for Intersession programmes but did not attend the lectures and/or examinations without written approval from the Dean/Rector. The Intersession fee will not be refunded.

Students who are undertaking Intersession programmes and are dismissed due to failures of the previous semesters are allowed to continue with the intersession programme under these terms:

  • Students are eligible for Appeal to Continue Study.
  • Students make an Appeal to Continue Studying.
  • If the Appeal to Continue Study is not approved for students who fall under the category of the said Clause 2.27.5, the results and evaluations obtained during the Intersession programme will not be valid and the Intersession fee will not be returned.
  • S1 status (Unsatisfactory) is a status given to students who failed and were dismissed (Clause 2.27.5) during the Intersession semester. However, students can continue their studies for the coming semester when given S1 during the Intersession semester.
  • Students are eligible to obtain ANC if the GPA achieved is more than 3.50 for graded courses of each registered Intersession. [effective as of Session II 2019/2020].
