Qaiwan International University (QIU) was established in 2018 in Sulaimanyah, Kurdistan
Region of Iraq. It was initially established as a franchise of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia
(UTM), aiming to provide local students with access to international education without the
need to study abroad, thereby reducing the financial burden on students and their families.
Later in 2022, QIU expanded its offerings by introducing additional programs franchised by
Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), further diversifying its educational portfolio.

The application to be excused from the final examination of a course must be addressed to the Dean/Rector/Director before the course examination together with related documents/letters.
The application to be excused from an ongoing final examination of a course must be addressed to the Dean/Rector/Director within the period of twenty-four (24) hours after the examination. Students are required to present a medical certificate provided by a doctor from the UiTM Medical Centre/government clinics/government medical centres/government hospitals/Medical Officer from employer’s healthcare panels or any related documents/letters.
The application can be done in writing or by filling in the Permission to Be Excused from the Final Examination Form.
If the application is approved, students will be given XX status for the course.
For unapproved applications, students will be given YY status where the marks for coursework will be disregarded for the course.
The application will be reviewed by JAKP/JAF/JAN/JAI.
