RULES AND PROCEDURES (E-PJJ-PLK)
UNIVERSITY STUDENTS’ STATUS
The University Student Status is subject to the following terms:
- Registered as a student with the University to enrol in an academic programme on a set date.
- Made the payment of fees no later than the set date.
- Registered for courses as stipulated in the Study Plan for a specific semester in the set duration.
- Students that have fulfilled the requirements in Clause 3.2.1.1 and requested a withdrawal from the studies, may request a refund of fees as stated in Table 8 (JKP 186).
SPECIAL LEAVE
- Students can apply for special leave for a maximum of four (4) semesters.
- Approved special leave based on health grounds or other grounds considered reasonable by the Chief Executive Officer of iCEPS is not deemed to be a part of the University study term.
- Applications for special leave must be forwarded to the College of Studies/Faculty/Academic Centre/UiTM Branch no later than fourteen (14) working days before the final examinations begin. An application for special leave due to student’s health must include a letter/report issued by the University Medical Officer or government hospital or any related document/letter.
- Students provided with medical care by their employers must attach letters/medical reports provided by Medical Officers from the employers’ Healthcare Panels when applying for special leave
- Approval for special leave will be considered by the Chief Executive Officer of iCEPS for the current semester only.
- Students with approved special leave must pay RM45 to retain student status and may request for refund as stated in Table 9 (JKP 186 and JKP 192).
POSTPONEMENT OF STUDY
- Students can be given a postponement of study status with the University’s approval for specific reasons. The duration will not count as part of the University study term.
- Application for postponement of study is charged a processing fee of RM100.00 (JKP 186).
COURSE REGISTRATION
- Students must register for at least one (1) course per semester
- Students are limited to taking up a total of no more than 16 credit units in a semester. However, final-year students are allowed to take more than 16 credit units with the approval of the Chief Executive Officer of iCEPS.
CREDIT EXEMPTION PAYMENT PROCESS
- Application for credit exemption is charged a processing fee of RM100.00.
Campus Exchange
- Student campus exchange is allowed with the approval of JAI.
Programme Exchange
- Programme exchange is allowed with the approval of JAI.
- The duration of the previous academic programme is considered part of the University study term.
- Students must re-apply for credit exemption for the newly approved programmes.
