SPECIAL EXAMINATIONS

Special examinations can be held for courses with final examinations in written form to enable students to complete their studies within the set study period.

Conditions for failed courses to be registered as Special Examinations

  • One or two failed courses must be within two (2) of the last semesters of the students’ study plan, excluding industrial training.
  • Marks for the continuous assessments of the failed course work, excluding the Final Examination component, must achieve a minimum of 50%.
  • is effective on students of Session I 2017/2018 intake (June/September 2017)]

 The following are students eligible to sit for the Special Examination:         

  • Final semester students with pass status but failed one or two courses during the current semester.
  • Final semester students with pass status but failed one or two courses during the semester before going for industrial training (applied to programs that administer industrial training during the final semester).
  • Final semester students who are graduating but dismissed with D3, D4, and D5 status and only have one or two courses before completion of the study. Students are advised to appeal through Appeal to Continue Study (RMP) through College of Studies/Faculty/Academic Centre/UiTM Branches Management within a fourteen (14) day period.
  • Final semester students who are certified as unwell by University Medical Officers or government hospitals and are not able to sit for final examinations. Student must have XX status confirmed for the said course by JAKP/JAF/JAN/JAI.
  • The maximum grade that can be obtained by the students after sitting for a Special Examination is grade C.
  • Students of a course with XX status who sat for a Special Examination of the said course will be given actual grades and not be charged any fee.
  • The fee for Special Examination is RM100.00 for each course.
  • Students who failed and are of YY, ZZ and FD status are not allowed to sit for a Special Examination.

  EET Repeat Examination

  • EET Repeat Examination can be held for students with a pass and XX status for the EET course.
