STUDY MODE

   There are five (5) modes of study:

  • Full-time
  •  Full-time (ATHLETE)
  • Full-time (Flexible)
  • Extended Full-time (SML)
  •   Part-time
  1. Off-campus Studies (PLK)
  2. Electronic Distance Education (e-PJJ)

   Change of Study Modes

   Change of Study Mode from Full-time to Part-Time

Full-time students are eligible to apply for a change in study mode to part-time according to the terms below

  • The application is made to undertake a similar programme of study.
  • The change in study mode is allowed only once throughout the study.
  • The application is made in written form and addressed to the Dean of the College of Studies/Dean of the Faculty/Rector of the Campus/Chief Executive Officer of iCEPS.
  • The application must be submitted within four (4) weeks prior to the official commencement date of the upcoming semester. 
  • The study period of the previous semester is considered equivalent to the duration of the part-time mode of study.
  • The application for a change in study mode will be reviewed by the JAKP/JAF/JAN/JAI

Change of Study Mode from Part-Time to Full-Time

Part-time students are eligible to apply for a change to full-time study mode according to the terms below:

  • Students with scholarships from the government/ statutory bodies/private organisations and/or government/private sector officers who are on study leave undergo full-time programmes.
  • Students satisfy the full-time study mode intake requirements. 
  • Students have never been subject to any disciplinary actions.
  • Students must settle overdue tuition fees to the University.
  • The application is made in written form and addressed to the Dean of the College of Studies/Dean of the Faculty/Rector of the Campus/Chief Executive Officer of iCEPS.
  • The application must be submitted within four (4) weeks prior to the official commencement date of the upcoming semester 
  • The application is only allowed once throughout the study. 
  • The study period of the previous semester is considered equivalent to the duration of the full-time mode of study. 
  • The application for a change in study mode will be reviewed by the JAKP/JAF/JAN/JAI.

 Change of Study Mode from Full-time to SML

Students registered for the Full-Time mode will automatically be changed to SML mode in the following situations:

  • the students exceed the period of study set by the Study Plan, and
  • has a pass status with a minimum CGPA of 2.00.

Change of Study Mode from Full-Time to Full-Time (ATHLETE)

Full-time students are eligible to apply for a change to full-time (ATHLETE) according to the terms below:

  • The application is made to undertake a similar programme of study.
  • The application is made in written form and addressed to the Dean of the College of Studies/ Dean of the Faculty/ Rector of the Campus/ Chief Executive Officer of iCEPS together with the approval letter from the National Sports Council and Sports Centre.
  • The application must be submitted within four (4) weeks prior to the official commencement date of the upcoming semester. 
  • The application for a change in study mode will be reviewed by the JAKP/JAF/JAN/JAI.

Full-Time Study Mode (Athlete)

  • Applied to students actively representing the country in sports and are granted approval from the National Sports Council and any related sports association/National Open Elite Tournament.
  • Study period is flexible, with no set duration.
  • Students are not bound to Clause 2.7.2.3 and Clause 2.22.4
  • The status of ATHLETE students who are no longer active will be converted to Full-Time status and are subjected to Clause 2.7.2.3 and Clause 2.22.4.

Full-Time Study Mode (Flexible)

  • Active students who are underrepresented.
  • Study period is flexible, with no set duration.
  • Students are not bound to Clause 2.7.2.3 and Clause 2.22.4.
  • Students who no longer belong to the underrepresented group will be converted to Full-Time status and are subjected to Clause 2.7.2.3 and Clause 2.22.4.  

   SML Study Mode

 GIven to students under the following situations:

  • fall under the regulations under Clause 2.7.2.3, or
  • when the application for the Appeal to Continue Study due to failure and dismissal with D3 - D7 status is approved.
  • PLK fees and study period are imposed.
